Does IROCK Tool get hot enough?

Yes! It does

I bought a IMAGINISCE I-ROCK tool a while ago and never used it.  And today, I was checking my grandsons toy tractor to see why the buttons weren't working.  So I took it apart and found that one of the wires was broke off at the solder connection.

I didn't want to run out to my work shop to get my solder Iron.  And remembered I had this I-Rock. So I opened the package and put in 3 AA batteries (Yes, it takes 3)  And pushed the button,  let it get hot and touched the old solder point to see if it would melt.  And sure enough.  It did.  So I stripped the wire and inserted it in to the hot solder.  Now the tractor works and makes all kinds of noises.

So yes, the I-Rock does get hot enough.

Whew! Busy Week!

Wow.  What a week!

How is it that you only work in one room but your whole house looks like a bomb went off. LOL!

We started packing up the scraproom and my hubby says,  " You will go crazy with out all your scrap stuff"  I said.  "But I have had no time to scrap in a couple months"  He replies.  "I think we need to move your stuff to the dinning room, where it was when we first moved in here"  What!  Is he crazy!   I guess not.  Because.  We ended up moving ALL and I mean ALL of the scrapbook room to the dinning room.

Oh man,  It started with, Moving the dinning room table to the kitchen.  Yes, My kitchen is large enough to put a full size table in there. (I live in a double wide mobile home with lots of space, but not really used good. I think it needs a island in there.  but now the table acts as a Island. LOL

In the scrap room I had a wrap around counter top that I got from my friend Jill.  Well it was to big for the dinning room,  So we took it apart and the long part we took out side and cut it down so it would fit along one of the walls in the dinning room.  So I can leave the space open as its a walk through to the rest of the house.  And it worked out great.  I have my shelf with my KNK and Expression on it.  The printer in there along with my lap top.  And I have a good amount of space to scrap.   I used to have 3 scrapping stations but now have one. So when friends come to scrap we will have to go to the kitchen. But that is only, its just across from the dinning room.

I had a wall of wire cubes (one day my budget will allow for a IKEA Expedit)  in the other scrap room and we emptied it and moved it to the other wall in the dinning room.  And moved my other shelf to the small wall.  Moved all the stackable bins and drawers,  And moved all my DVD case stamp cases from a book shelf to a shelf on the wall.

I was using a small old computer desk as a Island in the center of the scraproom and it just worked good so we moved it to the new dinning room area just to give me a little more space as we did away with one section of the wrap around counter.

And let me tell you,  Its not the pretty right now.  I have to do some organizing and put away the last little bit of stuff on my counter and it will be about done.

Man, I can not believe that entire room which I thought was full fit in to this area of 2 and 1/4 walls.  LOL

I need to make some curtains to cover every thing so it looks kind of neat as its what you see when you walk in the door.  But I think it will work. I will post some pictures when its done.

Next came the walk in closet.  Wow, it was totally full of all kinds of stuff I need to post on ebay or some thing.  So have it all out and need to go though it.  Then Im done with the room for now.

So where does this leave me in this process.  Well,  I will still not have a lot of time when the girls move in.  So I have been talking with a old friend.  And she helped me realize I have made the right decision.

You will be seeing some changes on my blog and my yahoo group and facebook fan page.  What changes you ask!  Well, it will be a work in progress.  But.  Im still giving up designing as a business.  I just dont have time for all that.  Those that design and sell files know how much work it is to put the best files out there.

I will do another blog post next week with updates on all that.  But, all I will say for now is, My yahoo group members will be happy.   So if your not a member.  You might want to join.  ALL SCRAPPERS AND CUTTER MACHINES WELCOME!  No longer tied to my old store.

Where Have I Been? Packing Up!

Wow, its been a week and a half since my last blog post. There has been lots going on here.  And lots of changes taking place.

Last week I went to my friend's house and helped her organize her scrapping room in to her dinning room.  She had it set up but it needed some organization.  And it looks so much better and she has room for every thing now.  Then that night I started feeling like I was getting another cold.  And yep, Sure enough!  I was so sick all week last week and I'm still fighting it.  But its slowly going away so that is good.

As yall have probably noticed.  My file designing has been getting slower and slower.  I watch my little grandson all week and it leaves me with no time to design or create. Can you believe he will be one year old in 3 weeks. Wow, how this year has flown by.   So I have really been slacking on designing files and creating for a while.

Well,  the biggest change is really huge.  My son was going to move out with his fiance but he got laid off 2 days before Christmas so things have changed. I finally got news yesterday that my son's Fiance is moving in here with her twin 4 year olds.  We are so excited to get 2 more grandchildren.  And the only room I have for them is my Scrapbooking room.   Yep!, So I'm getting some boxes tomorrow and starting to pack every thing up.  I haven't had time for scrapping in a while.  So I'm packing it all up so we can make a cute little room for the girls.

So what this means is.  I have placed my store on hold.  Meaning you can see the files but you cant buy them.  So some day, when I get back to this I will just reopen it.  Its a lot easier then deleting the store and having to reset it all up.

I wanted to thank all Creative team members and all my customers for supporting me along the way.  I have really enjoyed seeing all your creations with my files.

IKEA Canisters and Vinyl Labels

I was at IKEA the other day.  And took my husband.  He had never been there.   We had lunch, walked around the entire place.  Man, it wore me out.  I cant walk much.  So we stopped a lot.  And it took us a couple hours. But it was fun.

Anyway.  While I was there.  I picked up some clear containers to use as Canisters in my kitchen.  I have been wanting to replace the ones I have for a while.  As they took up to much space on my little counter.

Here are the original white ones. In the 4 are Sugar, Splenda, Regular Tea and Decaf Tea.  In the green one is Dark Brown Sugar.  And then in the bags are light brown sugar, Self Rising and All purpose flour.
I really needed a container for all these that don't take up a lot of room on the counter.  Look nice. And close really good.  So I found these containers at IKEA in 2 sizes.  I think they were kind of expensive (Large 3.99 Med 2.99). I got 4 large and 4 Med. But I told my hubby what I wanted to do and he agreed these were the best option out of every thing they had.
I measured the front height and width and designed some titles that I needed.  And cut them out of Vinyl.  And then thought about it.  With these being Clear.  I wanted them to look the same from the front, no matter what was inside. So I made a label to put the titles on and it worked out perfect.   And these stack nicely and don't take up much room.  And the snap closed really tight.  And have a good seal.  And have a flip top to pour stuff out.
I think they turned out beautiful.  And cant wait to fill them up and see how they look on the counter.

Guest Creative Team Call!

I am looking for 12 creative members of my Yahoo group interested in doing a "Guest Team Member" post.   1 member per month.

I will be picking someone to do 2 post for one month.  2 weeks apart.   You will get to choose two files to work with for your post.

3  best and favorite finished creations.  Your creation pictures can be of any thing you like. And yes, you can use some one else's files.  (Please don't post who and where to get them. Thank you).  I just need to see how you use cutter files.

I will be picking from this folder every month.  So make sure, if your interested you submit. Its never to late.  (One folder submission per person).

I'm looking for someone for January.  So start posting your creations.  It might just be you!
