Freebie "Name Plate Frame for Cricut Expression"

I'm going to be taking my Cricut Expression with me to the Creating for Causes Retreat this coming Weekend.  So I thought I better make some thing to put on it so I know its mine.

So I designed this dainty swirly frame and added my blog name.  And cut it out of vinyl and applied it to the front and the back of my Cricut Expression.  I think it turned out really pretty.

I am offering you this swirly frame free to decorate your own Cricut.   I have sized this to fit the Expression so you will need to resize if cutting it for a different machine.   You can download this file from 4 shared.

NamePlateFrame_RSM
Password is: iagreetou  (This file will remain free and available)

I hope you enjoy the file and give some detail to your cutter machines.

Also don't forget.  Tomorrow is the last day for several things happening on this blog.

Busy Weekend! More Cutter Files added!

Whew,  What a weekend!

It's pay week, so of course had to go grocery shopping.  We were out of every thing so it was a big trip.  Why is it you seem to be out of every thing at the same time.  Laundry soap, TP, Paper towels, Trash bags, Dog and Cat food and People food.  But I think we are set for a while now. LOL!   I tried my hand at "Really" doing coupon shopping.  When your on a strict budget. You have to save where you can.  And I think I did pretty good.

I used My Coupon Expert to help me out.  She does wonderful match ups.  So I went to Publix which I dont usually shop at.  And got a lot of the BOGO sales and used coupons on those items as well.  And man, I got stuff pretty cheap.  Like,  I bought the Digiorno shredded Parmesan Cheese, normally 4.79 each, but were BOGO and then printed 2 coupons for $2 off one.  So I got both for only .79.  thats less then .40 each.  How awesome is that.   I also got the Chunky soups.  They are normally 2.49 each and were on sale for 1.29 and I had printed 2 of the $1.00 publix coupons and used the $1.00 on 4 coupon.  So I got 4 cans for .54 each.   I ended up saving $72 on my trip and spent total of $70 because I had meat and stuff that I didnt have coupons for.  But Im super happy to have saved half my bill.  These days its really rough for us and this really helped out.  But it did take several hours to get it all worked out.  but sites like this make it easier so make sure you check out her site.  She is local to me.  So Im hoping to make it to one of her classes.   Now, let me tell you,  NO way do I want to be a Food Horder.  I only buy things we use. And only get 4 at the most of some thing when Buy one get one. I don't need more then that.

After the grocery shopping,  We worked in the yard and weeded the veggie garden getting it ready for winter.  Did 6 loads of laundry,  and then helped my son get his truck on a tow dolly to take to the shop this morning. We have been working on it for the past 3 weeks and got it almost all fixed.  And found out in the end. After replacing the distributor and cap and rotor.  His truck dont have the timing marks so you cant set it with our timing light.  It has to be reset with a computer. Errr!  So the truck wants to start but wont.  So he took it to the shop this morning to have the timing set.  Man, you should of seen us trying to get that truck up on the tow dolly,  We had to go get several neighbors and give it a good running push. Glad that's over.   So he used my husbands truck to pull his truck to the shop.  Well, he works nights so took it with him to work, so he could just drop it off first thing this morning and not have to waste gas.

Well,  at 5:45 this morning I'm up waiting for Grandson to get here and Hubby is up for work.  And My son calls, Dad, I started the truck to heat it up (As its a little chilly here this morning) he shut the door and it locked automatically.  He calls in a panic, the truck is running and its locked.  My husband and I are just a laughing. Because this has happened to use many a time. LOL!  So we told him how to break in to the truck which took all of 2 mins. LOL!  So bad day avoided.

I'm hoping the rest of the week is uneventful.  We shall see.  I have a lot to do to get ready for the retreat next weekend. I want to try and get some page kits made. But I'm taking my cricut and laptop so I can cut stuff while I'm there.  I already reserved a table by an outlet for me and my friends.

But on the up side of the weekend.  I got 20 more files done.  I changed out my old packaging to my new package to match my blog.  And added MTC files to all the ones that didn't have them.  And tweaked some of my first files.  And got them loaded to the store.  So make sure you stop by and check out all the files added to the store.  I now have 81 files in the store and still have about 80 more to go.  Scrappin with Sharon and Smokey Diecuts.

Well, Little man learned to scoot this weekend so he is on the move.  I got to get going.

Scary Halloween Layout

This is my newest layout.  I made this for my Son and his Girlfriend.  She works Hallow Scream at Busch Gardens.  So I made this for them to keep one of their favorite Halloween Pictures in.

I used my file RM00157  for the title.  Which is perfect for this layout with the Dracula.  The Bat frame is a new file I just loaded to the store tonight RM00159.  It has 3 layers and I cut this to fit a 4 x 6 picture. The Rats, Ghost, Tree, Tomb Stones, Clouds, Dracula and Iron gate are just part of a new collection added to the store. RM00160

I cut the Iron gate to fit the 12 x 12 page, and then Inked it with black to look old.  And then used silver brads on the ends and on the front handle.  And also folded the front back so it looks like its open for Dracula.  Added Red Stickles for all the eyes on the Dracula, Rats and Bats.  I layered one tree behind the frame and One in front of the frame with a ghost hiding in the tree.  The tomb stones I made 3D to stand up but for this layout I cut off the tabs so it laid flat.  The R.I.P cuts out of the stones so no small piecing.

These are the new Files I just added to the store.

                       RM00159 Bat Frames Border
Bat Frame has 4 layers, Circle frame has 3 layers and one Bat border

                       RM00160 Spooky Collection 1

This large Collection has 2 Skeletons, 2 ghost, 3 Clouds, 1 Tree, 1 Dracula, 1 Rat, 2 Bats, 2 Tomb Stones, 1 Candle. 17 images with layers.

I hope you enjoyed my layout. Its kind of scary to me.  But its totally my sons style so he loves it and that is what matters the most.  I'm also entering this layout in the Scrap retreat I won a ticket to in 2 weeks.

Thanks for Stopping by!

"My Memories Suites" Digital Scrapbook Software Giveaway

A few days ago, I was contacted by "My Memories Suites"  And asked to try out this Digital Scrapbooking software.

I was excited to try this out as for several years.  I have been collecting Free Digital Kits with the hopes to learn how to use them. But never did so I turned to Digital Cutter File Designing.  So for me, this is a great time to try it out and see how it goes.  And let me tell you.  They weren't kidding when they said it was easy.  It's Super easy.  Just drag and drop.  Great for beginners to advanced users.

This is great for all you paper scrapbookers that have been wanting to try Digital scrapbooking. And I know that others have used my files in their Digital Scrapbooking but I have no clue how to do that. But think I'm going to give it a try. Since this software is so easy to work with.

The My Memories Suites Software comes with 1500 Papers and 1000 Embellishments and 20 Templates.  Or you can make your own from the get go like I did. Or you can download several of their free papers and kits or purchase some of their awesome kits in store. Or add your own kits.

And not to mention all the cool things you can do with this. Check out all these cool functions.  I can't wait to play with this some more.

You can check out all the rest of the features here. They have a forum here.

Here is the first layout I made. From scratch. I think it turned out pretty good. For my first try.
I started this layout from blank canvas. I first selected my picture template to use. And just loaded the pictures and moved the frames around and resized and added mats to the pictures.  I selected my paper texture.  Selected a contrast paper and selected to make it a scalloped circle. I then added the zig zag stitching ( Its a little off in the corners. But I like it. Looks like a real page). LOL!  I then added the hammered brads to the scallops.  I then selected this ledger paper and reshaped it to make it my journal box and the binder clip is one of the embellishments  The title was made using the word art in the "My Memories Suites" software.   I really like how this turned out for my first try.  It was really easy.  These are some pictures I took at Manatee Springs.

You know, the funny thing is.  I don't ever journal on my scapbook pages because I cant read my own writing. So this is the first one with journaling.  I think that makes it even more special.  Don't you?

And this is my second layout.  I have been meaning to make a layout for my pets that passed last year.  And just couldn't bring myself to do it.  But for some reason.  This was the day to make it.  And I love it.

With this one.  I selected a 2 picture template.  Selected the beautiful paper from the list.  I then added the black flourishes and resized them.  Then added the flowers and bows. Added the ribbon which I made fatter so I could layer another ribbon on top for contrast.  Added the Title using the text feature.  And added the pictures and the mats.  And get this super cool feature.  The picture of my Shelti was actually take with him facing the other way.  And I was playing with some of the picture features and I was able to flip the direction. So now he is looking at Morris.  How cool is that!

I love how easy this is so much.  I have an idea.  I think I'm going to play with this software and use it to make samples of layouts to see how they look.  So I know what I need to make real paper layouts.  What do you think.  I like the idea.

Okay, so,  In exchange for a review of this wonderful software.  I was giving a extra download code to give to one of my blog Followers (Yes, you have to be my blog Follower)

"Halloween Cutie" Picture Frame

Have you see all the picture frames that have popped up on the net lately.  I have. And they are so cute. It reminded me.  I had this wood craft frame sitting in my "Don't know what to do with this"  box.  Every once in a while I go though it and pull stuff out.  So I grabbed the frame and went to work on it.

I didn't take any pictures before hand.  As I wasn't sure what I was going to do with it.  But it was just one of those bare wood craft frames from Provo Craft. I got this years ago and not even sure where. But now I want more. LOL!

Here is my finished project.  And do you know. This is my first craft project in 3 months. (Remember I had taken time of)  But I'm back and ready to go now.  I had so much fun making this.

This wood frame is 6.5 x 8.5 by itself.  I painted the wood frame black.  And used mod podge to attach my Target dollar spot Halloween paper. Its really cute paper.  I inked the edges after with black so you don't see the white paper edge. For a more finished look.  But to me the frame was just to plain with just a ribbon.  So yep.  You guessed it.  I just had to go design a frame for it. LOL!

So I have a brand new file I designed on Sunday.  Just for this frame.  But its so cute. I think I'm going to cut another one to use on a layout.  This new file is "RM00158 Spiderweb Frames Border"    The frame has Spider Webs and bats in the corner. And is 2 players. In the file its 3.  I didn't use the 3rd layer as its actually my wood frame.   I measured my wood frame.  Made rectangle in KNK the size of the frame and designed around it so I knew it would fit.

The title "Halloween Cutie" is a title from my other new file "RM00157 Halloween Titles 1"    And the

Spider Web in the corner is last Fridays Freebie File.  "RM00008 Spider Web"

I then added rhinestones to the center of the Spider Webs.  I love how this turned out.  And think I need to make more of these cute frames.

Want to win this new file set.  RM00158 "Spider Web Frame Border

One lucky "follower" will win this file.  Just leave me a comment below and become a follower of my blog . By Friday Oct 14 mid night Eastern time and I will pick a winner on Saturday Oct 15.

Now if you cant wait till Friday and have to have this now.  I'm offering this file free with any file purchase of $10 or more from today Oct 11- Sunday Oct 16.

Reminder: Dont forget.  Design team call ends Saturday. So get your entries in.

Hope you enjoyed my Halloween Cutie Frame.  I just love it.
