Trip to Michaels and Stuff

Today, I went to Michaels because they had some good sales. But I was on a mission for Red and Green Paper. You see, Im a blue and white chrismas kind of girl, But all 10 of my new christmas files I designed last week, are in Red and Green, And since I dont use those color paper. And I test cut every single file in the proper colors. I had to go get some red and green paper. LOL!

I also got some of the clear glass ornaments that were half off, and Martha Stewart micro glitter in blue of course, I have most of her other colors, to make some adorable ornaments, and might just cut some vinly words for them, also picked up some embossed white boarders for my daughters wedding ablum, and used the 20% coupon for all martha stewart stuff.

Then went to biglots to let my DH pick out new lights, he was tired of the white icicles hanging lights, he wanted some color in the yard, so what did he pick, Yep, Blue. LOL! These are pretty cool, they are actual icles and are blue LED lights, so going to hang them with the white lights, So now, the outside matches the inside, LOL!

Will post a picture later this week. When they are up.

Dont forget, today is the last day for the Black Friday and weekend sale at the VDBC. And I would like to thank you all that have purchased my files. It means so much to know others like my files.

I will have a new freebie for you in a few days.

Free 3D Snowflake2 file

Sorry for posting this late today, We have been with out comcast internet since 9pm last night, and it just came on about an hour before the guy was to show up. So im running a little behind.

Here is the 3D snowflake number 2, Plain and simple, I used Joanns cardstock on this and it does real well, We are making some and using fishing swivels and ribbon to allow them to spin.

File includes: KNK, GSD, AI, WPCv14 & SVG, as well as instruction sheet.
File no longer available, Look for in store soon

Also, you can use these 3D Snowflakes for other things like, Hanging spinners, using one of the 6 sections. We just re-sized it and made a bigger template, and did the same folding, but didn't connect them, Using fishing swivels and ribbon or fishing line to hang so they spin freely, You can also connect several with more swivels. Or make a boarder, several uses with these.

Im working on Snowflake number 3 as well as a bunch of christmas files, need to get test cut and posted to store.

Have a great day!

Creative Team Sample

My friend Jill C. is very creative and does beautiful work, So I made a deal with her to be my creative team. This is her first sample using my Trick or Treat Overlay RM00002

She wanted to do a layered picture frame to hang on her wall. So she asked me to alter the file a little bit, and make the ground a little wavy and remove the words at the top and adjust the farm so you didnt see the words. Then She used 3 overlays and Layered them with pop dots.

The windows are crackled using Tim Holtz' Rock Candy Crackle Paint. Then she used Black Diamond Stickles to frame the windows and to add a frosty look to the roof as well as using them to give the owl some dimension. Violet Pearl Ex was used to give the smokey effects in the sky and around the moon.

Rock Candy Stickles make the little ghost a happy boy and Prima leaves finish off the project.

Flourish is from EK and Happy Holloween is a iron on flocked word, dont know from where.
The finished size is 12 x 12 and is put into a scrapbooking frame purchased at Joann's.

This turned out so beautiful. Thank you Jill for using my file.

Freebie 3D Snowflake File

I love Snowflakes but only as decorations, LOL! No way do I want any snow, I like my white stuff on the beach. Clean white sand, like on Anna Maria Island. I love the beach.

But at Christmas time, I don't do the red and green, I do white, blue and silver with Snowmen and Snowflakes. And yes, all my wrapping paper matches, lol.

So I tried making a snowflake in KNK and have to say, Im Snowflake challenged, LOL! So was looking around the net and got some ideas for a 3D snowflake, you cant mess that up, right?

So here is my first version of a 3D snowflake, I think its pretty cool. Im working on some others, so be on the look out for those in a few days. Im getting cought up slowly, if that is possible. I need to squeez in some christmas cards, and start on Wedding decorations.

File is no longer available, check store soon.

It looks like its really detailed but believe me, its really easy to put together, After cutting the file, It only took like 5 minutes to put together. I used Tacky glue from AC More. I like it, you put a little on, hold for 10 seconds and its stuck. It holds paper products really well.

Dont for get to stop by the VDBC forum and play along in my challenge this week for a chance to win 1, 2 or 3 of my files.

Thank you for stopping by!

Hmm! What could it be:

New files in store?
No post in a couple Days?
New Inkadinkado stamp?

Yes is the answer to all those but that's not the differance I'm talking about. Have you figured it out yet?

Okay,I will tell you, I changed my Blog header. I used a couple of my files to make it. Im having fun playing with Paint.net. Its a lot like Adobe photoshop, which I didn't have till last week. I was at a garage sale that was posted on Craig's list and bought Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0, Adobe Illustrator 8.0, Adobe Page Maker 6.5 plus and AI Classroom in a book 8 all full versions for windows with original books and disk, and all for $30. I know they are older, but I can use these to play with and see if I like them. But until then paint.net works just great don't you think.

Now, I did add a few new fall files to store, I cant remember if I posted that or not. You can check them out "HERE" Then new fall files along with all my other files in store can be seen on the slide show on the right. Click it to see them larger or slow it down. New to store are.

Harvest of memories

Harvest of Thanks

Fall Tree Leaves

Turkey Day Traditions

I didn' make it to playing with stamps today, had a bad migraine, so will try and do that tomorrow and post my new stamps.

Good nite for now.

I have added Harvest of Memories, Harvest of Thanks, Fall Tree Leaves and Turkey Day Traditions. I also added the store pictures to the slide show on the right.

If you would like to buy these or any of my other files you can go to my part of the store at VDBC Forum.

Look How Pretty These Are!

One of my customers Pam used my RM00006 "Paper Circle Ball Ornament" file. To make these 3 Ornaments.

She used cheap paper (her words's) on the white and Red one, And used thicker Bo Bunny paper on the 3rd and said it holds the shape better. Good information. She also used Glitter, flowers and looks like jewels.

Aren't they pretty.

Thank you Pam for using my file and letting me post your picture.

What a Fast Weekend

I cant believe how fast this weekend went. It wasn't till late friday I found out it was friday, so maybe that's why it went so fast.

My sale at my store comes to a end tonight. Read one post down, for details. And thank you to those that bought my files.

My DH got called back to work 2 days early, so today, he took my brother fishing in the boat. They had a good time, but the wind was getting rough on the bay. With the store out there.

I spent the day making 5 new files. These will be for all the men in your life. And in store in few days after I test cut and convert them.

Tomorrow, I will be uploading 4 fall files. So watch for those.

Have a good night,

My first Celebration Sale!

Im so excited, I need to Celebrate! So having my first SALE! (40% In my part of the store till Sunday night)

I finally got my new AI software and got all my file conversion issues figured out as of a few minutes ago. So what this means for you is:

I have now added GSD formats to my files in store and he rest of my files should be a lot better so I'm redoing them all and adding to store shortly. So to celebrate this, I'm putting all the files I have in store right now on sale then I will get new fall files loaded in a few days.

Other great news. If you love my 12 x 12 overlays but you dont have a large cutter, lets say, KNK element, Craftrobo, Wishblade, Silhouette. You can still use my full size overlays.

How is this? Well I have added extra files so each will have 2 KNK files and 2 GSD files (If you need other file types. let me know, I will be happy to convert those for you.)

KNK will have one 12 x 12 overlay for large cutters and One 12 x 12 overlay that the mat is cut in half and you just cut one part horizontal on your smaller machine at a time. With like Element or Robo with KNK GE to use the KNK file

Or, if you use the GSD file, I have resized the 12 x 12 to 8 x 8 so you can cut a full size overlay, and also included one with full size 12 x 12 cut in half to cut on your Craftrobo.

I have included instructions with the GSD to help you with this, or just ask and I will be happy to help you out. I have made many of overlays like this, and they turn out great from smaller machines.

Now on to the sale every thing in my part of the store is 40% off through the weekend Since I just found it its Friday, LOL! (Discount shows in cart)

Be sure to check out one of my files "Paper Circle Ball" that will be on sale for $1.49. This would be a great Hanging ornament for Chris's weekly Challenge "Something Hanging". Make sure you resgister as a member so you can play along

Thanks for stopping by!

When do you really except your old?

I always feel old because of all my medical problems, but I guess this just confirms it. I am OLD!

For the past 2 years, I have decided to stop coloring my hair. You see my family grays early, I have been getting gray hair since I was about 30. So when I hit 40 about 2.8 years ago. I decided to stop coloring, and for the past 2.5 years, DH has been telling me I need to color my hair. More and more every month, And my daughter tells me, I have to color my hair before her wedding. But I have been fighting it.

Then my DH and I go to the eye doctor today, and turns out I need bifocals and he needs trifocals. I said, what, she says well when you get old, your eyes go down hill fast, Oh wait, your only 42, okay so your starting early. Jeez! Let me tell ya, DH isnt thrilled with being old at all either. LOL!

Thanks for stopping by!
